MEMXPRO’s mSATA EM31, Mini mSATA EM31, and Half Slim EM31 series
December 10, 2015 - MEMXPRO Inc. introduces SATA III 6.0 Gb/s mSATA, and Mini mSATA Half Slim embedded flash module series. Using MLC NAND flash technology, the embedded flash module series offers supreme performance and proven reliability for operation in harsh environments with wide temperature ranges and high levels of shock & vibration. It is an ideal embedded storage or boot device solution for servers, and portable or space-conscious devices. Optional wide temperature grade choices are: standard grade 0°C to 70°C, extended grade -25°C to 85°C, and industrial grade -40°C to 85°C.
Plugging into existing Mini PCIe card connectors with SATA signal pins, MEMXPRO full-size mSATA EM31 and half-size Mini mSATA EM31 series provide exceptional performance and efficiency with faster read/write speeds while reducing startup, file transfer, and software application load times. When a host computer issues commands to a MEMXPRO mSATA or Mini mSATA module to read or write blocks of memory, each sector is protected by powerful 66 bits per 1 KB error correction code (ECC). MEMXPRO mSATA and Mini mSATA series intelligent controller manages interface protocols, data storage and retrieval, as well as ECC, defect handling and diagnostics, power saving modes, wear leveling and flash block management.
The Half Slim EM31 series is much smaller than a standard 2.5” hard disk drive but still includes the same standard 22-pin (7+15) SATA interface. This ultra-compact and low-power feature enables high-speed system boot-up while transferring data fast. The Half Slim series uses four mounting holes to securely fix it inside the computing platform with screws.
